Kent and Victoria met through Victoria’s brother Eric! The three of them went to same college, but Kent and Eric were seniors when Victoria was a freshman. Victoria and Kent started dating in secret since Kent and her brother were best friends, but of course Eric has now gotten around the idea of them together! 😉
The Proposal: Victoria and Kent went to their favorite beach spot near their house with Kent’s parents to take some family photos. Victoria knew something was up when she woke up that morning, because Kent said “put on something nice” and she said “does that mean ‘wear a dress, nice?'” Kent said “yes, put on a dress.” Victoria never wears dresses, so she was immediately suspicious. On the walk to the beach, Victoria saw a square shape in Kent’s back pocket, so she slapped it, but it just happened to be his phone. The ring box was actually in Kent’s front pocket and he proposed after he asked his parents to take the camera.
We interviewed Victoria and Kent to get some feedback about their special day and the vendors that they chose!
Q: What were you inspired by while planning your wedding? (Theme, Color Combinations, Places?)
A: “We were looking for an elegant place and really wanted a classy wedding. We stuck with simple colors and chose white and lilac for our combination.”Q: What advice would you give to future couples planning their wedding?
A: “Don’t stress since the day goes by so quick. Take time to actually enjoy the moment and soak it all in! Take a mental picture!”Q: What were some of your favorite wedding day details/memories?
A: “My favorite wedding day details include getting ready with the bridesmaids, taking funny photo shoots, seeing the door games that my bridesmaids picked out for the groomsmen, walking down the aisle with my dad, actually getting married, the list goes on!”
