Real Wedding: Kara & Mark
Kara & Mark
married on December 18th 2021
“Mark and I actually met at a bar through a mutual friend. He came to the bar to meet someone else, but my star wars sweater caught his eye and he ended up talking to me the entire night instead.”
“Mark took me to Longwood Gardens with the same mutual friend that introduced us. I was wearing a VERY ugly Christmas sweater thinking we were just having a goofy night. I should have gotten the hint when he was decked out looking super handsome and not in a silly Christmas sweater like me. He proposed in front of the biggest tree there in front of hundreds of people – I never expected it.”
What were some of your favorite wedding day details/memories?“Our memorial tree was probably my favorite. My mom passed, but it still felt like her, and all of our other family members who have passed were right there with us. ”
What were you inspired by while planning your wedding?
“I made lots for my wedding! My signs, bouquets, save the dates, invitations, the ornaments for our memorial tree. If I could – I made it myself.”
“EAT. Everyone told me to sit down and eat and I was just so happy and excited I couldn’t get myself to sit and relax and eat. You pay a lot for that food – ENJOY IT!”
