Kevin and Robyn met in January of 2015. While they bonded over prior teaching experience and a passion for literature, it still took them some time to figure out that the universe intended for them to be together. When they went for a beer and wine making weekend in Los Osos with dear friends, Kevin and Robyn shared their first kiss on a balcony.
It seems like they have been inseparable ever since…
While enjoying magical trips to Disney Land, training for and completing a half marathon, watching projector movies in the pool, camping, sharing a love for cooking, and DIY-ing to build their home, they have also built a life together.
Because they share similar values, they have slotted into one another’s families as though they had always belonged. And so there was no hesitation when, on September 2nd, Kevin asked Robyn to be his wife.
The proposal was built around the fact that Kevin and Robyn read books to one another most nights. Kevin used this as an opportunity to tell Robyn their story from his perspective: a fairytale… In Paradise Cove, they shared a beautiful evening of cocktails, seafood, and giddiness, but when evening fell, Kevin moved them to a quiet spot on the beach (candles, blankets, and wine in tow) and began reading Harry Potter to Robyn. When it was her turn to read, Robyn turned the page to find a printed version of their story. As Robyn read it aloud, Kevin got to his knees and asked her to spend her life with him. They think this must be the best decision they have ever made…
On May 4th, 2017; Robyn & Kevin said “I Do” at JEH Ranch in Bakersfield, CA. Classic Photographers was honored to capture their special day with our amazing Photographer Landon D. who had this to say about their wedding day:
