Steven & Jake

Jake and Steven met and had hung out as friends for a bit. During this timeframe, Jake was made aware of Steven’s love of penguins. Jake was watching Good Luck Chuck starring Jessica Alba and Dane Cook.  Jessica Alba’s character is obsessed with penguins, which planted a seed and Jake then realized he wanted to be more than friends and the couple started dating 🙂

The Proposal
On Steven and Jake’s 4 year anniversary, Jake reserved an exclusive Backstage Pass at the Minnesota Zoo for the two of them. Steven and Jake were checking out two penguins and they started to play with their feet! While this was happening, Jake began telling the Good Luck Chuck story and proposed to Steven (this is adorable!)

Wedding Inspiration
“The Chapel where we had our ceremony, the colors of the mosaic tiles helped pull the colors of the bridal party together with the details at the reception site.”

Favorite Wedding Detail
“Our cellist and violinist playing the Game of Thrones intro during the recessional and our DJ singing 1000 years during the couples dance getting the dancing started. We also enjoyed the the colors of the cake layers when we cut into the wedding cake.”

D.I.Y. Details
“I created the pieces for our guest book. The hearts and clovers were dyed then our guests were able to sign them. The pieces will be added to a large wall hanging so we can show it off for years to come.”
