 Wendy & George
09.01.2017

Wendy and George met online. George didn’t have anything written on his profile, only pictures, and Wendy was intrigued. She messaged him asking if he would care to elaborate. George responded almost immediately and within a week they had their first date.

Wendy and George got engaged on a day that Wendy was enjoying a ladies brunch with friends and family at one of her favorite restaurants. George came in with a dozen yellow roses and dropped to one knee and proposed in front of everyone! 🙂

We interviewed Wendy and George to get some feedback about their special day!

Q: What were you inspired by while planning your wedding? (Theme, Color Combinations, Places?)
A: “Lounge feel using the colors black, white, silver and yellow”

Q: Did you have any D.I.Y. (aka Do It Yourself) details?
A : “We made our centerpieces using glass vases we bought at the dollar store and strips of beading we purchased from Amazon. We used a hot glue gun to attach several rows of the beading to the top of each vase then filled 1/3 of each vase with crystal rocks and white waterproof LED lights; our florist filled them with water and a dozen yellow roses.”

Q: What were some of your favorite wedding day details/memories?
A: “The grove of the venue where the ceremony was held, dancing, the house, the food and being able to enjoy everything with the people we love.”

Q: What advice would you give to future couples planning their wedding?
A: “Know what you want and be decisive; be specific when asking questions”

Q: Is there anything else you’d like to share about your big day?
A: “Remember it is about marrying your best friend, don’t get too caught up in the material things.”
