Dominique and Zachary met while in high school through his sister!

The Proposal
Dominique almost ruined the surprise! The couple had planned to go on a summer walk in a cute park close to them, but Zachary tried to get Dominique to dress up by telling her that they would go to a nice dinner afterward.  Dominique was tired and didn’t want to go to dinner, so Zachary agreed that they would only go on their walk to the park, but encouraged her to still dress up.  As most people would, Dominique followed by saying, “promise we’re not going to go to a fancy restaurant?” And he said yes. Then she asked, “promise you’re not going to propose to me?” And he said yes. Zachary was so convincing that Dominique believed him! She states that Zachary normally can’t keep a straight face to pull off surprises! Looks like he made it happen for the proposal :)!

Wedding Inspiration
“We really wanted a soft romantic feel to our wedding. We chose light browns and pink colors to help give us that feel.”

Favorite Wedding Memory
“I loved getting ready with my friends and family but my favorite part of the whole day was taking pictures in the field at our venue. It was fun going out with our wedding party and just laughing and having fun. Later my husband and I went back to get some golden hour photos and it was so relaxing just taking photos and getting away from the party for a few moments by ourselves. It was also cute having my new husband pick all the thorns out of the train of my dress!”

D.I.Y. Details
“We made our own bouquets and boutonnière as well as our centerpieces.”

& a Word of Advice…
“Don’t stress so much about all the small little details, chances are most of your guest will be too busy paying attention to you and your fiancé to even notice! It really is a party it’s meant to be fun!”
