Kristin & Timothy met at a Fourth of July Party in 2015. They both were polar opposites to what each other normally dated. However, they kept running into each other at their local bar (The Blackboard Cafe in Windsor Locks) and it seemed like fate. All it took was one slow dance late one night at the bar and they were hooked. It also helps that they share a love of music, cats, and food. They gave it a chance and now here they are happily married.

Wedding Inspiration
“We went with a Rustic New England Fall Theme. Details included Wood Flowers, Burlap Lace Tablecloths, Wooden Card Holder, Keys for Favors, Wooden Guest Book, and for a little fun some Converse for the Groom, Bride, and Bridesmaids. My husband works in the lumber industry so that is why there was a lot of wooden touches in the wedding. “

Favorite Wedding Memory
“I loved running into the reception and rocking out to Metallica’s Enter Sandman. This is just so fitting since we both share a love of Hard Rock Music. Our first dance had many people in tears and the room could feel the love as we floated to “All of Me” by John Legend. I also loved getting pictures of my girls and my cats while we were getting ready. It was so nice to have some professional photos featuring my cats since they play such a huge role in our lives. I enjoyed being able to spend it with all my close friends and family. Our friends and family danced the night away and continued to dance long after the reception was over at the After Party. Every little thing of our wedding had personal touches to make it our own. “

D.I.Y. Details
“I helped create the some of the decorations which included white flowers with burlap lace covered vases. I also chose to do keys as my favors and put together the tags for them since my fathers side has a lot of locksmiths so it just seemed fitting. I added two small silhouettes of cats to my cake so that I had something representing our love of cats. I was able to get one in Black and Grey to represent our cats Smokey (Black Cat) and Bandit (Grey Cat).”

& a Word of Advice…
“Just relax and enjoy every moment. It is going to be be stressful at times and everything is not going to go perfect but don’t forget about why you decided to get married. Once the day comes it is going to fly by so take it all in. Visit with friends and family. Take a million pictures. Celebrate each other. Find some time to escape and enjoy each other.”
